What is a bucket list

Ok.So a lot of people are making bucket lists these days. For those who do not know,a bucket list contains all those dreams and adventours you wish to fulfill before you die.I like this list concept.

Why u ask?

Well because it helps you analyze your dreams and goals about your life in a fun way.If someone will ask me "what is your dream son"? What do i answer? Do i want money? Do i want fame? Do i want to see the whole world? What?

Well if i am completely honest my dream is to be HAPPY!!

Everyone wants to be happy right? You maybe get happiness with money,or you may get happiness by traveling. So siting down and writing those points down and creating a list is a brilliant way to your path to happiness.

Bucket list does not have to be an adventure.it can be a simple task of telling someone you love them.it can be learning to cook.it can be adopting a dog.it can be learning a new language.it can be anything you want.

I see my friend's talking about bucket lists and this is how the conversation goes:

Me: Hey tell me more about that bucket list

Friend: Well the first thing has to be learning to play a guitar

Me: Wow really,Can i see that list

Friend: Well uhh umm no i actually have not sat down and made a list,It's in my mind.

Me: Jesuuussssssss!!

I mean that is absurd. If you want to be happy and actually know what will get you to your destination,How can you not have it written down.

I say you print out that list,I say laminate it,And i say stick it on your bedroom wall.

When you will have that list in your face each and every day,You will not only remember why you made that list but also actually try and complete the next task on it.

Another important thing about the list it to not copy what other people are doing. If jumping from a plane with a parachute is something that will bring tears in your eyes,Then do it.Do not do it because everyone is doing it.For example you want a million dollars and looking at your bank account summary will make you the happiest person in this world,Make it happen. But i might be the same happy jumping off a cliff somewhere in hawaii. So expand your mind and think about it and after giving a lot of thought start writing everything down.

Sharing your list is something that can achieve your goals at a faster pace.Your friends can inspire you at times when you have lost focus. They can also take ideas from your list and maybe you can complete a goal with your friend or with their help.

So this is what i want you to do:

1. Make a bucket list

2. Share your bucket list with friends/family

3. Start acting on the list

4. Be happy and joyous

5. Thank the people who helped you on the way.

Finally share your list with me and tell me how happy you became :)

Why you should be cooking

 1.Health

This is buy far the main reason you should be cooking. It's a very simple logic. You decide! You decide the ingredients.you decide the type of oils. You decide the method of cooking.so you decide the number of calories your dish is going to be.

Don't you want that luxury to eat whatever, how much ever and still stay healthy.Eating outside will not help you achieving that goal. You can have all the nutrition you want in the form of vegetables, fruits, meats etc and have a balanced diet.

I can copy paste a bunch of surveys and prove that home cooked meals have lesser carbohydrates, fats and oils but you already know that.Still you choose to eat outside because restaurant food is tastier? Well why not start learning to cook!

2.Skills and being independent

Being a cook gives you skills you can use and master for a lifetime.Weather you are at your folks,or at your friends, you can cook and give them a meal and make yourself proud.Basic skills can easily be learned in cookbooks or taught by closed loved ones.Get that desire to learn and get going.

believe me when i say will get the utmost satisfaction cooking your own meals.and seriously if you are someone who asks your mother for a cup of tea,Get a life!

3.Cheap

You don't have to be a rocket scientist to guess now that buying your own meat and vegetables are way less expensive than having a meal at outside. The ratio of money spent on dining out and home cooking is at least 2:1.So basically you can have delicious home cooked meals with half the amount of money. It must not seem a great deal but try and calculate the money you save whole month and you will be in for a big surprise. So stop eating pre packaged food and start cooking.

4.Fresh ingredients

No matter which place you eat and what your instructions are to the chef, you will never get the exact ingredients in your dish compared to home cooking. You just cannot know how much time or days even the salmon served on your plate has been sitting in the fridge.Cooking for yourself lets gives you the option to choose your own ingredients. You choose your best ingredients and also choose the amount of calories you need.So limit your portions by cooking with low calorie ingredients.

5.Convenience

Why wait for the deli down your street to open to have a descent plate of food when you can make your own.Cook whenever you want and eat whenever you want, thanks to a thing called the refrigerator. It is quite convenient as you can cook and throw dishes in plastic bags to have them later.

6.Family time

From my experience working in the kitchen always unites you as a family. If you finally get off your couch and decide well i am going to give this a try,i am sure your family will be curious and happy to help you. They will cut vegetables for you, they will boil potato's for you and before you know it your whole family is in the kitchen. It really is a fun activity and you will soon realize cooking is a great way for families to bond with each other.

To conclude, you can think of hundred ways not to cook.you could say you are addicted to fast food or you could say i do not posses the skills. But the truth is if you do not start now,you never will. But i hope you do.I will not get any benefit if you cook or not but your family will.Cook for your loved ones and enjoy life.

”This is my advice to people: Learn how to cook, try new recipes, learn from your mistakes, be fearless, and above all have fun”-Julia Child

Why cook?

Why cook when i can get a hot plate of mom's homemade tasty food on my bed?

Why cook when there is a deli right across the corner?

Why cook when i have a food coupon lying around for days?

Cooking is not something you are born with.it is something you learn and develop and master.for most people it is taught and passed on by someone you love.maybe it was your granny, maybe it was your special someone,or maybe you learned it watching television.the wonder of cooking is that those lessons remain in your memories forever.because when you replicate the dishes, those taste buds take you down a magic memory lane into a fantasy you never wish to come out of.that is why cooking is so much more than a hobby or passion.

There can be many reasons for you not to cook your own food.the most common reason is i do not have the time.i mean really? you cannot manage 30 minutes a day aside to cook your own food? another reason is that you already have someone else doing your cooking while you cannot get your lazy ass out of bed.how long do you think this is going to happen.being food dependent is the worst thing i can imagine because you are relying on someone else to serve you food.

i am not asking you to become a good cook right away.i am asking you to start by just cutting vegetables for your wife,or boiling a few potato's for your mom.that is a really good start.

i will explain you some really good benefits of cooking food for yourself in the next article.

Prevention’s National Health and Nutrition Examination Study (NHANES) to find out whether the link between healthier diets and frequency of home cooking can be documented scientifically.
As part of the NHANES data gathered between 2007 and 2010, approximately 9,500 adults 20 and older were asked about their cooking habits. Researchers found that households that reported cooking dinner at home most frequently (6 to 7 times a week) consumed “significantly fewer” calories and ate better than those who relied more heavily on restaurant meals and frozen foods.
The researchers found that 8 percent of adults lived in households in which someone cooked dinner no more than once a week; 44 percent cooked dinner 2 to 5 times a week; and 48 percent reported cooking dinner 6 to 7 times a week. Compared to the low-cooking category, those in the high-cooking category consumed significantly more fiber, fewer carbohydrates, and less sugar.
